Assessment Notices

Assessment notices are mailed to property owners every spring (usually in March). Property values are assessed annually to reflect estimated market values, and used to determine property taxes.

If you have questions or concerns about your assessment:

  • Contact Natasha Malenchak, Director of Finance and Administration, by email or by phone at 780-852-6511;
  • Attend the annual Assessment Open House on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Gallery Room at the Jasper Activity Centre. The assessor will be available to review your assessment, answer questions and provide explanations specific to your property, on a first come first served basis; and/or
  • If you still disagree with your assessed property value, you can appeal your assessment (details below).

Appeal Process

If you still disagree with the assessed value of your property after talking to the assessor, you can formally appeal your assessment. A $50 fee will be required when you file your complaint form.

Download and fill out the Assessment Review Board Complaint Form (PDF) from the Alberta Municipal Affairs website or pick up a paper copy from the municipal administration office located at 303 Pyramid Lake Road.
