FireSmart Neighbourhood Work Bees
The FireSmart team is organizing Work Bees to help reduce wildfire hazard in targeted areas of town. If you can do basic yard work, you can help firesmarting your neighbourhood! Come for an hour or come for the day, refreshments and lunch will be provided on any of the following dates:
FireSmart Block Parties
Block Parties allow residents from one neighbourhood or housing development to get together and discuss ways to reduce wildfire hazard in their own backyards.

These informal meetings include the presentation of a neighbourhood Wildfire Hazard Assessment by the FireSmart team, a BBQ and an opportunity to interact with local fire protection specialists. Socialize with your neighbours, learn about wildfire protection, and get the opportunity to sign up for a free Wildfire Hazard Assessment of your home and property!
