Fire ban in the Municipality of Jasper

Effective May 24, 2018, a fire ban is in place for the Municipality of Jasper. The fire ban is to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety. A fire ban is also in place for Jasper National Park.

This fire ban includes ALL open fires, EXCEPT, provided they are under direct supervision:

• portable propane fire pits; 

• gas or propane stoves and barbeques, designed for cooking or heating; 

• propane or gas fuelled lanterns (enclosed flame); and

• patio heaters (propane, catalytic or infrared/radiant).
