Reduce your waste! Reduce, reuse, recycle and compost so you have less to throw away! In Jasper all garbage bins are wildlife-proof as traditional curbside waste collection is not feasible in this unique mountain community.
Household and commercial garbage are collected daily from residential and commercial bins throughout town. Take your garbage to the nearest wild-proof garbage bin.
Be aware that:
- To be animal-proof all waste must be placed INSIDE the container,
- All garbage must be bagged and tied,

If the bin is full, take your garbage to another bin,
It is an offence to dump furniture, oversized items, tires, appliances, household hazardous waste and electronic waste at the residential bins. These items must be disposed of at the Transfer Station; and
It is an offence to dump garbage that contains liquid or hazardous materials.

The Transfer Station is operated by Parks Canada. It is located on Highway 16, 8 km east of Jasper. All oversized items, tires, appliances, household hazardous waste and electronic waste must be disposed of at the Transfer Station. For more information, call 780-852-3531.

Tuesday – Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 pm - 12:30 pm
