Arts Days Weekend
September 17-19
September gives Jasper an opportunity to show off its cultural diversity with the annual celebration of Arts Days. Events start on the 17th with the Canadian Mosiac by Tim Van Horn.
“No other national symbol has a greater place in a person’s heart than their country’s flag. What better way to put a face to the most culturally diverse nation on the planet than a Canadian flag mosaic with 2010 faces? The Canadian Flag Mosaic is dedicated to all the world’s cultures and the family of Canadians. It is a celebration of life, humankind and earth’s cultural diversity. We encourage all of you to embrace and be proud of who you are no matter where in the world you live.”
The Mosaic will be on exhibit at the Jasper Activity Centre over the Arts Days weekend – Sept 17-19. A companion exhibit of photography will be on display at the Museum for the month of September, ‘The Faces of Jasper’ in the Alcove Gallery.
