Culture & Recreation Services and Facilities Review

Culture and Recreation Review 2019

We want to hear from you!

In 2019 and 2020, the Municipality of Jasper undertook a review of Culture and Recreation services and facilities to inform priority setting and guide investments in our aging recreation infrastructure.

Jasper residents were asked to complete a community survey to help identify which services and facilities Jasperites value most and whether any new offerings should be added. Through facility panels set-up at municipal buildings and at Community Conversation pop-up events, residents were also given the opportunity to provide feedback and speak to members of the Project Team.

In addition to the above noted public engagement opportunities, the consulting team also conducted engagement directly with community organizations and other external stakeholders through facilitated discussion sessions and questionnaires.

Nearly all of the questionnaire’s respondents believe that that recreation and culture are either somewhat or very important to their quality of life (97%) and all believed culture and recreation was important to the overall wellbeing of the community.

Using all the information collected, RC Strategies, the project consultant, created a draft report for review:

Before it is formally submitted to Council for final review, we are looking for any additional comments or concerns from the community on the draft report.

Please complete the survey below by Wednesday, June 2 at 4:00pm to share your feedback with us.
