Volunteer Opportunity: Community Income Tax Program

Tax Program

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that can make a real difference in people's lives?

Become a volunteer for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program!

Each year, Community and Family Services recruits and trains volunteers to prepare income tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.

Annually, local volunteers complete between 40-50 tax returns. This program serves a wide range of people, including those living on low income, newcomers to Canada, students, including International students, and seniors. With the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, you’ll help Jasperites get their entitled benefits and credits.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a partnership between the Canada Revenue Agency and Community and Family Services (CFS).
