Electric Vehicle Lowering Emissions at the Jasper Arena

Ice removal just got a little greener (and a lot healthier) at the Jasper Arena. The Municipality of Jasper, with the assistance of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association and the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre grant, has purchased an electric Polaris Ranger side by side to perform seasonal ice removal at the arena and curling rink. 

“The Electric Polaris Ranger has performed beyond our expectations and we are so grateful for the opportunity to purchase it with the support of the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre grant. We hope that this is just the beginning of the Municipality of Jasper moving towards the use of electric vehicles in an effort to lower our greenhouse gas emissions." says Peter Bridge, Arena Manager.
