We all have a key role in supporting newcomers and making Jasper a welcoming place to live.

Free support services for newcomers:


Settlement Services

Jasper Settlement Services provide support to refugees, permanent residents and newcomers free of charge.

Community Outreach Services (COS)

Community Outreach Services offers community programming, resources and confidential, non-judgmental support for all ages in Jasper, free of charge.

Jasper Employment & Education Centre (JEEC)

JEEC is a non-profit organization that offers many services, programs and resources for education, language, and training.

Jasper Local Immigration Partnership 

The Jasper Local Immigration Partnership is a group of employers, service providers and newcomers who focus on implementing Jasper’s Settlement Strategy. The group identifies trends that impact newcomers and collaborates to better support settlement in Jasper. 

Your participation in the Jasper Local Immigration partnership is essential! To join the group, email Monica Rodriguez at mrodriguez@jasper-alberta.ca. 

Tools to get connected

If you've been in Jasper for a while, you may already know what's going on and what community activities you can participate in. People that are new to Jasper will have a harder time finding these pockets of our community. Make sure to let them know about the following tools and resources.


Community Calendar

The Community Calendar is a broad and inclusive calendar that displays many events and programs in Jasper. 

If your organization is hosting an event or program, make sure to submit it to the calendar!

The Information and Resources page is a great place for newcomers to learn how to get settled and find all their basic needs and services in Jasper. 


Community groups 

The Community Groups page outlines many cultural groups and community organizations. 


Newcomer Network

Refer newcomers to the Newcomer Network. This group is focused on discussing newcomer needs, challenges and opportunities. 


Community Guide 

The Community Guide is a printed booklet with information about living in Jasper and the support, services and programs in our town.
